News Feed
9/21/09: Buoy 44007, which supplies data for many Southern Maine locations, is currently transmitting data only intermittently and is scheduled to be serviced by the NDBC. Buoy 44030 has ceased transmitting data (also relevant to Southern Maine and NH); we will continue to monitor the buoy while seeking alternate data for this region. Thanks for your patience!

6/23/09: Due to a recent technical failure, surf report data was unavailable from 6/19-6/23. We apologize for the inconvenience; fortunately for most, we happened to also have great waves in this period so hopefully that put the smile right back on your face! Reports and data are now back up.

2/26/08: The reports for Maine and New Hampshire are BACK ONLINE as NOAA has finally attended to the local wavebuoys that were downed on January 1st! Thanks everyone for your patience, and thanks to NOAA for following through with their maintenance schedule.

1/22/07: After getting endless amounts of spam in the forums, and nearly 3,000 registered spammers, we decided to do away with the forums for good... in place, we've added a much simpler CHAT feature which we hope you'll enjoy! Check it out...

1/21/07: We're happy to let everyone know that the majority of the buoys and reports are back online. In particular, all of the reports South of Cape Cod are now functioning. Unfortunatley, we are still have problems with our buoys reporting for parts of Maine and NH. Hopefully those will be back soon too!

1/16/08: As I'm sure many of you have noticed, since the beginning of January a number or our reports- particularly the ones in Maine, New York, and New Jersey- have been displaying "Data Unavailable." This is because a number of the essential NOAA/NDBC buoys in these areas, from which we get our data, are currently malfunctioning. The NOAA does routinely service malfunctioning buoys, however they do not do so on a precise schedule. We expect that at least a portion of these buoys should be back on-line by the end of the month, however we can make no guarantees as the situation is out of our hands.

Thanks for everyones support so far, and we hope you will continue to check back with us! We are doing our best to get malfunctioning reports back up!

7/19/07: We've made our Cape Cod surf reports more specific by creating five individual reports to cover the entire Cape. Check them out:

7/10/07: Thanks to everyone who visited SURFcasts through our first month, we delivered 25,000 pageviews to 3,000 visitors from the U.S., Canada, Central & South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. We are currently developing more tools and increasing the number of reports we offer... help us to share SURFcasts with others!

6/27/07: As a kickoff of our plan to expand SURFcasts to include the entire U.S. and parts of Canada, we've started by adding 5 new reports to our Maine surf reports section. We'll be expanding our database of East Coast reports too. New spots: 6/26/07: New, cleaner homepage design
